SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

I have four years of engineering experience with King Engineering Associates, Inc. My project experience includes design, estimating, permitting, construction management, and other aspects of environmental engineering. I'm also skilled in the creation, calibration, and validation of computer models to emulate empirical data.

To support my ongoing dedication to my profession I'm a member of The Society of Danish Engineers, American Water Works Association, and the Society of Women Engineers.

North County Reclaimed Water Distribution System, Phase 3A and 3B, Pinellas County, FL
Project Engineer responsible for the design, permitting and construction management of the North County Reclaimed Water Distribution System project. This project will beneficially reuse reclaimed water through residential irrigation and includes over 22 miles of reclaimed water piping, carrying a peak flow of 10 mgd to approximately 2,000 residential units. The pipelines will primarily be installed by horizontal directional drilling methods. King is also providing pipeline route elevations, hydraulic modeling, surveying, utility coordination, preparation of contract documents, and bidding phase services.

South County Solid Waste Transfer Station Expansion, Hillsborough County, FL
Project Engineer for the expansion and reconstruction of this solid waste transfer station. The project includes evaluation of current tonnages and projections of future tonnages through the year 2025, preliminary engineering and planning, site plan development, and design, permitting, and construction of a new 1,000 ton per day facility using top load technology. Ancillary facilities include leachate collection and storage, a new scale house facility, a maintenance building, trailer parking and washing facilities, a new existing community collection center, and expansion of an existing yard and wood waste processing facility.

Northwest Solid Waste Transfer Station Expansion, Hillsborough County
Project Engineer for the expansion and reconstruction of this solid waste transfer station on a closed landfill. The project includes evaluation of current tonnages and projections of future tonnages through the year 2025, preliminary engineering and planning, alternative site plan analyses, and design, permitting and construction of a new 2,500 ton per day facility using top load technology. Ancillary facilities include leachate collection and storage, a new scale house facility, a maintenance building, trailer parking and washing facilities, expansion of an existing community collection center, and expansion of an existing yard and wood waste processing facility.

Southeast Water Treatment System, Pasco County, FL
Project Engineer for the design, permitting, and construction management of approximately ±5.3 miles of potable water main and 3.1 miles of raw water main as well as design, permitting, and construction services related to implementation of a new 14 mgd water treatment pumping facility in southeast Pasco County. The WTP will treat raw water from five existing wells providing for chloramine disinfection, storage, and high service pumping of the finished water. Responsibilities included quality control of chloramine conversion design and high performance pump design.

Galvanized Water Main Replacement Program, Pinellas County, FL
Project Engineer for the analysis, fire hydrant coverage evaluation, design, route assessment, permitting, and construction management for approximately 45 miles of replacement water mains for Pinellas County. This was part of an overall 150-mile replacement program, in which King was assigned 11 contracts to accomplish the tasks. Design included replacing all 2-inch galvanized and cast iron water mains with 2-inch PVC water main and larger, depending on hydraulics and fire hydrant spacing requirements.

Pinellas County Standardized Technical Specification, Pinellas County, FL
Project Engineer for the standardization of Pinellas County's Master Technical Specifications for utility construction. Responsibilities involved analyzing existing specifications for redundancy and discrepancies and reconfigured it into the CSI 2004 format.

Wet Weather Assessment, Pasco County, FL
Engineer for updating current reclaimed water capacities of the existing Master Reuse System, including tanks, golf course ponds, and rapid infiltration basins. For those golf course ponds that contained both reclaimed and stormwater, identified the tributary stormwater drainage area and determined stormwater storage volume required for compliance with FDEP regulations.

Wiregrass Ranch Reclaimed, Potable Water, and Wastewater System, Pasco County, FL
Developed reclaimed water demands for Wiregrass Ranch, a development with 1,200 residential units, commercial areas, and two golf courses on 5,000 acres. Demands were derived for phasing as well as conceptual build-out and then analyzed to identify infrastructure needs.

Stormwater Management, Clinton County, PA
Assistant Project Manager for the development of a watershed-wide stormwater management plan as mandated by Pennsylvania State's Stormwater Management Act 167. Led committee meetings and public hearings, created regular newsletters, helped local communities understand the implications of Act 167, and edited watershed plan.

Legacy Park, Hillsborough County, FL
Project Engineer for providing a master plan for the potable water and fire protection for 372 new units of proposed housing. Hydraulic modeling allowed for proper pipe sizing and creation of a system capable of providing hydrant and sprinkler protection during peak hourly demand. This modeling effort also accounted for future development demand, pressure drops associated with the proposed development's backflow preventer and meter, while highlighting existing water main source pressure issues that will need to be rectified before inclusion of the new development into the existing distribution system.

Publix at Summerfield Crossings, Hillsborough County, FL
Engineer for Master Utility Plan for this 19-acre commercial development. Design considered demand schedules, source pressures and line sizing at peak demand plus fire flow for the proposed water distribution system. Provided design for entire area's pump station, including hydraulic analysis of local force main system and selection of pump and wet well design.

Palma Sola Trace, Bradenton, FL
Project Engineer for the design of a 4,870 lf force main, pump station, and the refurbishment of a receiving manhole.
